Onboarding Process

Step 1: Register

Register for the desired sport by visiting the registration webpage and filling out the google form.

Step 2: Attend Seasonal Meeting

Meet with the athletic department and get information on our athletics program. Invites will be sent via ParentSquare.

Step 3: Submit Documentation

We will require all documents to be submitted to the Athletic Department located in Room 105 at HCHS. Please download, fill out the form and submit the following documents.

  • Sports Physicals Form
As members of the MSHSL (Minnesota State High School League), Hiawatha students are required to complete the Sports Qualifying Physical Examination Medical Eligibility(SPQE) form to participate in a sport. Sports physicals are different from an annual checkup; physicals focus on the student's ability to participate in the sport. It also expires every three years
  • Eligibility Brochure/Form
A student's participation in high school sports activities is contingent upon their eligibility. To ensure they maintain their eligibility status, it's crucial to review the summary of Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) rules that govern their participation.
Please take the time to go through this summary with your child, ensuring they understand the regulations outlined. We encourage you to keep this information handy for reference. If you have any questions regarding the interpretation of any rule, do not hesitate to reach out to your school principal or athletic/activities director.

Step 4: Attend Practice

Attending mandatory scheduled practice is required to participate in games and maintain status as an athlete.
