Purpose and Objectives
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain proposals from qualified special education service providers in the areas of Speech/Language Pathology and Occupational Therapy to contract with Hiawatha Academies (HA) to provide services as outlined in this RFP.
Related service providers will:
- Deliver all mandated related services for students receiving special education services under IDEA Part B, aligned to each student’s IEP
- Conduct evaluation components required to determine eligibility for related services
- Complete all due process activities, including MA billing documentation, IEP meeting participation, IEP goal writing, present levels, accommodations/modifications, and progress reporting
- Provide coaching and training to special education and general education staff
- Consult with the Child Study Team (CST) on pre‑referral interventions and data collection

- Maintenance of student health records in accordance with state and federal law
B. Special Education & Due Process
- Participation in IEP and Section 504 meetings

- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including special education staff, related service providers, and Child Study Teams
C. Compliance & Reporting
