English Language Arts

EL Education: Reading, Grades K-8
The EL Education K-8 Language Arts curriculum is a comprehensive, standards-based literacy program that engages teachers and students through compelling, real-world content.
Groves Method: Foundational Literacy Development, Grades K-3
The Groves Literacy Framework, developed at Groves Academy, uses a curriculum based on the Science of Reading and is rooted in decades of literacy and brain research. We rely on this program to ensure that all students develop reading skills in the beginning to become fluent readers in English.

Math

Bridges in Mathematics: Grades K-4
Bridges in Mathematics equips Hiawatha teachers to fully address state math standards in a rigorous, engaging, and accessible manner. Students gain a deep understanding of concepts, proficiency with key skills, and the ability to solve complex problems.
Fishtank Math: Grades 5-8
The goal of the Fishtank Math program is to help students see themselves as confident and competent mathematicians who are able to apply their math knowledge both in and out of the classroom. Providing students with opportunities to communicate and discuss their thinking improves student understanding, provides teachers with useful information to guide instruction, and shifts power away from teachers as the possessors of knowledge to students as the constructors of it.
College Preparatory Mathematics (CPM): Grades 9-12
College Preparatory Mathematics is a rigorous course that includes student learning outcomes and objectives in the following areas: Elementary Algebra and Functions; Intermediate Algebra and Functions; Geometry and Measurement; and Data Analysis, Statistics, and Probability.

Science

Amplify Science: Grades 3-8
Amplify Science is a K–8 science curriculum that blends hands-on investigations, literacy-rich activities, and interactive digital tools to empower students to think, read, write, and argue like real scientists and engineers.
Discovery Science: Grades 9-12
Discovery Education Science connects students to their inner curiosity by placing them at the center of core ideas, science practices, and connections between science content as they lead investigations. Hands-on and virtual investigations, STEM activities, and various science resources for teachers bring the excitement of science to life.

Social Studies

Inquiry Journeys: Grades 4-6
The Inquiry Journeys curriculum builds students’ knowledge in History, Civics, Geography, and Economics through engaging investigations. Each unit integrates literacy and social studies instruction while connecting to students' experiences and interests, and ends with students applying their knowledge to take informed action through a variety of projects.
